Trustee Recruitment

We are a mental health advocacy organisation dedicated to ensuring that the voices of those living in Wales with mental health issues are heard.

At CADMHAS, we pride ourselves on our ability to provide accessible support to a wide geographical area without compromising on our commitment to consistently provide the highest levels of service to all our clients.

We have already embarked upon ambitious and exciting plans to expand our services which has seen us grow from an organisation of 6 staff in 2008 to currently 30 staff.

We are a registered charity operating as a company limited by guarantee. The Board of Directors are also Trustees of the charity of whom there are currently five.

As a result of recent, successful growth, we are looking to recruit at least three new Trustees so that we can continue with our plans for future growth and further improve the delivery of our services.

We would encourage anyone interested to apply but particularly those who have any one or more of the following: –

  • Experience of and/or caring for a person with mental health problems,
  • Experience in financial management,
  • Experience/knowledge of the Mental Health Act,
  • Experience in communication, personnel,
  • Experience with writing bids for contracts,
  • Experience of working within diverse communities and/or minority represented groups,
  • Any other skill(s) that would benefit our

This is a voluntary role and is an excellent opportunity to be a part of a fast-growing, successful advocacy service committed to extending the reach of its services without impacting its ability to provide a valuable service of the highest quality within local communities across Wales.

The Board of Directors is responsible for the financial and legal governance of CADMHAS, setting the strategy and policies and generally supporting the Director of Services and staff in implementing governing documents. Board meetings are held every six weeks.

If you feel you have something to offer and / or have a genuine interest becoming a part of our organisation, please contact our Director of Services, Mr. Elfed Williams by telephone on 01745 813999 or email sm@cadmhas.co.uk, for further information.
